SocDem Asia is now calling for applications for the 8^th Batch of the Political Management Training for Young Progressives (PMT), an institutionalized regional program that capacitates young, emerging leaders with tools that aid and advance their political work. It also seeks to consolidate these young leaders to help advance collective goals under their progressive leadership in the future.

PMT offers four (4) modules spread over 4 months. The first three modules will be conducted online, while the 4th module and batch graduation will be done in person in Jakarta. Member-parties and affiliates may endorse up to four (4) applicants per delegation.

PMT is the flagship training program of the SocDem Asia Academy of Progressive Politics (SocDem APP).

The deadline of applications is on 13 June 2022.

Criteria for Participants

20-35 years old
Shares the values of SocDem Asia: freedom, social justice and solidarity
Attended national/advanced trainings of their organizations
Country delegation adheres to 50-50 gender quota
Endorsed by SocDem Asia member-parties and/or affiliates
Committed to attend and complete all modules
Speaks and writes basic conversational English
Has access to the internet
